Plenty of furniture for slant cut these says. I second what SteyrAug said about the Type 56 as you can find them on the forums for better prices. Ironwood Designs also makes nice wood for AK's with either slant or straight cut receivers. Smith was able to salvage the threads 14 x 1 LH and I picked up a brand new Norinco stock from Robert RTG and now I have a nice rifle. I picked up one new in the box for $415 on a local online auction because the previous owner had attempted to thread the barrel and screwed it up. $700-$1000 seems to be the going rate for MAK-90's but bargains can be found. At the show I was actually going to trade 570rds of LC and PMC M855 Green Tip and pay the difference for the spiker but again no cash on my person and these guys weren't set up for taking card. Not a big fan of fixed folding bayonets but if I see a decent price I'd get one, especially as a pre-ban rifle. I'm definitely no fan of thumbhole stocks but this guy from my old hometown makes a stock that will fit I'd check to see if you can't beat the deal on AK forums, sometimes some really great stuff pops up at very fair prices, and if not then either would be a quality firearm. Norinco is less desirable than a Polytech, but a 56 spiker is always a popular variant. That is unless you are satisfied to have a thumbhole stock AK. Is the Mak 90 receiver slant cut of flat cut? If it's slant cut you probably don't even want it.
